This service enables a library user to manage their account online. One can make sure that items are not overdue and is reminded when items are available. It is quite an impressive service.

For myself, I have thought about using this for the Hoyt library. Currently, it is being beta-tested at the Osterhout Library, and once that test is performed adequately, the Hoyt will start using this service or a similar service.

My only caveat with this system is to ensure the privacy of the site and how best can the system monitor one's account. However, as a concept, it is a sound one and one that will be refined, I am sure, as time goes by.
